As the first studio song for my capstone, I produced a song called “Do I Know You?” by Joe Brown. Joe and I met during our summer at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. While I was a production intern working concerts, Joe was a 2024 Artist in Residence at the Rock Hall. We quickly hit it off, which led to me being his sound tech for the summer, mixing all of his shows throughout the residency. This working relationship quickly grew into a friendship, which led to our collaboration on “Do I Know You?”. Joe performed all instruments except the piano parts, which I played.
